How I make the daily GPS map...

This site is running on a Raspberry Pi 5 server here at home. I'm just another average, overweight geek with a Disney World annual pass living and working just outside the "Disney bubble" in Central Florida.

I work full-time from home as an SSRS reporting developer for a large healthcare company's workers' compensation division, which I've been doing since 2011 along with various other responsibilities. Prior to that, I worked as a reporting specialist for the world's largest telecommunications company from 2000 until I was laid off in 2007 at the start of the Great Recession. Before moving to California, I worked as an administrative secretary for a subsidiary of the largest engineering/design/build company in the world.

I'm somewhat of a "jack[ass] of all trades; master of none." I dabble in making music, 3D printing, biblical studies (in line with my Christian faith and bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Vanguard University of Southern California). I helped lead and perform as part of worship teams in churches in Southern California before picking up and moving to Florida in 2000.

In September of 2005 in my mid-30s, I was diagnosed as Type I Autistic (DSM-V) with Asperger's Syndrome (that latter term is no longer in use since its namesake, Hans Asperger, was found to have been a Nazi scientist and eugenecist).

I'm both divorced and widowed, my first marriage having ended in 2008 due to my own stupidity, and having lost my second wife to an accidental overdose in 2016.

I really like International Kline Blue.

I've traced the genealogy of my male line back to the 17th Century in Schiltach, Baden-Württemberg (the former Duchy of Baden), Germany, where the farm that my ancestors lived and worked is still standing as an inn and restaurant, even though a DNA check by MyHeritage states I'm over one-third (37.9%) English and just 15.5% Germanic (the rest is a combination of 14.2% French, 13.4% Scottish and Welsh, and 19% a mix of Dutch, Danish, North Italian, Breton, and East European, in decreasing order of percentages). The last name "Buehler" is an anglicized spelling of the German "Bühler," which means "someone who lived on or by a hill" and comes out of the same hill country in the southwestern modern German state of Baden-Württemberg.
